Full Steam Ahead for Celebrity Truckers Doing the Heavy Lifting

Image
A heavy lifting specialist whose exploits in moving historic locomotives and giant machinery have been followed by TV viewers worldwide, has adopted a bespoke RFID system from CoreRIFD to give it greater control of its monitoring processes. Allelys Group , which transports and installs some of the UK’s biggest equipment, gave audiences a fascinating insight into the lifting industry when it featured in the  Train Truckers  show. TV cameras followed the teams as they headed to Germany to collect a maintenance machine so large it had to be loaded onto two trucks, and transported three Japanese-built trains from the port of Redcar to Doncaster. The six-part series also saw the team moving the legendary steam engine  Britannia  from Crewe, where it had been restored, to the Severn Valley Railway where it will start running again. The new system, which is based on CoreRFID’s  CheckedOK , the market leader in the UK and Ireland. will enable Allelys to move i...

We’re Open with Remote Working

Image
Our services should not be affected by the UK lockdown. We can and do remotely support RFID and software solutions across the globe from our development centre in the UK.  Our development staff are able to continue to provide the same high level of service without the need to come into the office. Systems are supported as far afield as Australia, where Sydney-based  Ranger  use the  CheckedOK  system for safety inspections on lifting and rigging equipment and  Weir Minerals , the multi-national engineering firm, use CheckedOK to record the inspection results for heavy duty pumps across the globe. One of our UK customers who supply and replenish oxygen cylinders to the health industry needed a major upgrade to their system in order to cope with the increased demand from the health service.  Again, this was performed remotely, during the lockdown, showing the current crisis doesn’t interrupt the implementation or support of critical systems. It is busine...

Leading inspection firm gets a lift with our automated reporting solution May 26, 2020  by  Core RFID One of Northern Ireland’s leading lifting inspection and engineering services firms has switched to our services. Fermanagh based  ITS Plant Tech , which counts RTE, Siemens Ireland and GE Energy among its clients, is deploying our CheckedOK solution. CheckedOK  enables equipment inspectors to use a mobile or tablet to input data onsite. Data is automatically updated to a secure hosted database and certification documents will be immediately available for online viewing and download by customers. ITS Plant Tech MD Damien McManus explains the reasons for the move: ‘The automated system we had in place could not be configured as we wanted. CheckedOK is easy to customise and so we can develop it to our needs now and in the future.’ We’ve established a strong presence in the Irish lifting and cranes industry over the past 10 years since Dublin-based Hoistech became the f...
